And it does raise the risk of schizophrenia for certain ages, though I think they don't know whether it causes it so much as increases the risk that someone already prone to it will be triggered.
But I used to know a really conservative guy, a criminal justice major who went on Sheriff ride-alongs, when we were both in college, and he was a big fan of legalization because he saw domestic violence related to alcohol use all the time and the worst crime he ever saw related to marijuana was somebody shoplifting a danish from a 7-eleven.
