I believe it's tracked by an accelerometer so smooth braking is \"good braking\". But taking your foot off an accelerator in an electric car in the most efficient modes causes an initial jolt when it switches from motor to generator. Not saying everyone is a good driver, but it is at least partially driven by the dumb way they measure it.",
