Don't get me wrong, I love the Nix/Guix concept, and exclusively use these systems. But we have to admit that, as it is, evaluating derivations from complex packagesets, downloading close-to-duplicate content to satisfy the store model have a real resource cost.
We're culprit to this software obesity to some extent.
