#WritersCoffeeClub 23. How important is humour in your work? How do you work it in?
i think humour is a vital part of good books. even serious books about serious subjects are more powerful with the inclusion of humour. because injustice nearly always has an element of absurdity to it, even ridiculousness. (e.g. remember shirtless Putin?)
despots can't stand humiliation. laughing at them injures them in ways decrying them never can.
