Yes, good question. Honestly, I have one major question that u am not sure how to ask, mainly because I probably don’t know enough about the technical aspects of the Bitcoin network/protocol. He uses the metaphor of the Chinese doctor creating a powder for medicine, only later to find that the black medicine powder could be used as gunpowder. Lowrey seems to assert that the monetised protocol called Bitcoin will actually be used for something more than money and that this is the true use of the monetised network. Hopefully I have this right. So the natural question to ask is what does the extension of the protocol look like? What applications develop on the network other than money that mean that nations rush in to not only buy BTC but also invest in mining and protection of the miners? (Please let me know if I misunderstand Lowrey).
