People interested in #nostr and freedomtech really ought to take a look at #freenet and #hyphanet. These platforms are even more censorship resistant than nostr is. While nostr gives you agency over which custodians to trust (and the ability to trust multiple custodians (relays)), relays are still concentrated forms of power that can be coerced and shut down. That requires coercing 10% of the network instead of social media where is like three companies, but freenet requires coercing >51% of the network to censor something. Does that number sound familiar to anybody?
