I have avoided exploring Lightroom because I am highly reluctant to invest my work (metadata, editing, etc) to an app which might disappear or take away something important to me, and then (or a bit later) the version I want stops working. (I literally still rely on Aperture, which is viable since this is just personal photos w/o a ton of editing.)
