if you adjust for population size, the 1200 deaths on Oct7 are 30x the size of the death toll on 9/11
can you imagine what the US would have done if 9/11 had been *thirty times* worse then it was ?
of course, the same argument applies to the Gazan's losses in the current war, although, afaik, very few Americans cared much about civilian deaths in afghanistan
