Welp, it's officially "check the fire & smoke maps every morning" season. My annual long hike is less than 2 weeks out and there's a fire 20 miles from my planned destination. Time to evaluate options.
Really feeling for the PCT thru hikers. Between a late melt and early fires the window to complete the trail seemed impossibly short this year.
