tl;dr: for me it took a few weeks to see a drastic improvement to my sleep.
I quit in 2019 (by accident when I got sick and couldn't drink coffee). It takes a while because, as I understand it, your body creates more adenosine receptors when you are on caffeine and I guess it has to get rid of those before you start feeling normal. After a few weeks I began getting really amazing restful sleep and that basically improved everything, including my code!
