"content": "translation: somehow 12 base pairs with an unusual (for viruses) way of representing Arg got pasted in. that's definitely weird, but if humans were doing it why would they have done it that way instead of using the virus's own idiom for representing Arg? my Occam's Razor interpretation is that the 12 pairs got pasted in from garbage floating around the host cell as happens plenty during virus reproduction, and were then selected for during serial passage in the Wuhan lab 😄",
