Vietnam War Mentality.
Republicans are like the Vietnamese, in the Vietnam war.
Democrats are like the American soldiers who went to Vietnam assuming the Vietnamese soldiers would fight a gentleman’s war, and follow the rules of the Geneva Convention.
The Vietnamese soldiers fought dirty, they used extreme torture, they broke all of the rules, and terrified the heck out of unsuspecting US soldiers.
This is what republicans are like. They break the rules, they lie, cheat, bully, and steal their way through everything. They point fingers, blame the other side, and seek revenge on anyone who challenges them, or tries to hold them accountable.
Democrats think the courts will sort it all out. They think justice will prevail, and the good will win over the bad. They think if they keep playing fair, the world will eventually see the truth.
Democrats are naive to think justice will prevail, when Trump cronies are doing everything they can to undermine the system.
