Yesterday I realized Moshidon, my favorite Mastodon client, started blocking NAS this past week. I uploaded an issue on GitHub to ask if it was intentional. The answer is scary: It is, and Moshidon is one of many apps to do so. They've blocked over 150 servers already, many of which are totally harmless (and that's beside the point, actually).
This means developers have taken the whole idea of federation and flushed it down the woke toilet. It's a huge blow for us.
