People need to understand that, in the vast majority of cases, they are not decentralizing their image or video uploads and that media content isn't actually being stored on Nostr.
The word "Nostr" in the name of build might be part of confusing people. The fact that clients embed referenced content also contributes to it.
For reference, the quoted post from you does *NOT* contain a video.

The video is stored on a classical centralized HTTP(S) platform: nostr.build, which, confusingly, happens to contain the word "Nostr" in the name, but is actually just an HTTP server like Google Drive or Imgur.

The actual content of the post is merely an HTTP link to that video. Many clients happen to embed the video in the content of the page, but this just means they are sending automated HTTP requests, not that the video has been posted on Nostr.

Here is a link to Google in a Nostr post: https://www.google.com/.
Does it mean I just uploaded the Google search engine to Nostr? No, I just put a link to it, same as you did with the video.

Decentralized platforms are only good if people actually understand what they are decentralizing. Giving power to users requires that users be willing to acquire knowledge and understanding.
