Truth be told, I have all but given up on that. I was a shitty mother when my children were very little. Over the years, I have become a much better person. My children seem to have good self-esteem, but also seem hell-bent on making sure I never attain my own. I assume they are good people and lead good lives, but I just can't with the gaslighting any longer. As for me? I am also allowed to feel good about what I have accomplished.
