I really like how Fedi empowers people to focus less on things like user count and retention. Community members come and go, it’s a fact of life. As we do not earn profit off of advertisements, selling user data we are not incentivized to have a bunch of people on the instance. It allows us to attend to the community, trying to find people who want to stay long term and who will enjoy their stay.
