I'm going to grow all of the typical storage crops that do well in Michigan: onions, garlic, potatoes, cabbage, butternut squash, tomatoes for sauce and sweet potatoes (the Beauregard variety only needs 90 warm days to make a good crop).
New to me will be a special type of cantaloupe from Johnny's Seeds: Sugar Cube F1. This variety produces personal size melons that taste great! I've never grown it myself, but my mom has had success with these plants in the past.
