So, the #android Cloudbeats app seems a jolly good thing. Easily connected to my self hosted Nextcloud server's music folder and heh! I can play/stream to my heart's content.
So now my on the move listening is mostly still #RadioFreeFedi but if I suddenly get the urge to listen to... ooh ... say... Lowell George singing '20 Million Things'... I can! 😁👍
