Well, I think it's generations of people being told that they have to vote for the right-wing Democrat over the far-right-wing Republican or there will be disaster, doing this, but never getting real change for the better,.
Don't get me wrong - now it's true. Trump would be a catastrophe for America and the world. But to be a non-rightist in America is to be perpetually in despair.
Also, insulting potential voters didn't work in 2016, and it won't work now.
