My major concern as a new instance admin is helping members have a good experience right off the bat.
What are your tips? I am particularly interested in helping make their timelines interesting right away - what can I do beyond saying "here's a list of cool people to follow"?
Context: this will be a small instance (10-100 ppl, invite only) based around a shared interest. I am worried about folks used to Twitter, etc bouncing off Mastodon because not enough's happening.
