I've had the most luck swapping manuscript for manuscript. The reciprocity lessens the odds of people flaking out. Also having your beta reader be your target audience is important too, and writing a book you're interested in reading tends to be a good proxy for that. There's a google group called critique partner swap where I found my people.
I've also tried to get things going on here via npub1a3sm35nq0sqmq4kyq98989r9nkspcdd89fm4qy6rdep3jmnwenvsr0xk4e (npub1a3s…xk4e) but no luck lol. Even when I was just offering to read stuff for nothing in return! I promise I'm both very nice and very good at feedback. Anyways anyone wanna swap stories with me? 6k words, scifi, biodiversity, nanomachines, eat the rich.
