like, they have this entire explanation in their help docs where they talk about how their wikilink syntax is better than regular markdown links because you don't need to URL-encode them when… markdown links don't need URL encoding? that's a requirement they made up because their implementation is non-compliant. they then say "if you care about interoperability" (read: we don't) then you can disable them, and it's like
you shouldn't just make up custom bad syntax because you failed to do the bare minimum of reading the fucking spec
paired with basic markdown syntax features being broken (like link references) I genuinely am considering finding another markdown editor and just using that
