There is so much wrong in the World today, and Labour (not Starmer) are trying hard to address it.
This country voted for Brexit, not having any idea what they were voting for, so right now if the UKs Workers Rights are reduced, thanks to their own Brexit, maybe right now with all that is going on, both the Labour Government and the EU who Brexit cost a fortune in time and money, will have to put those Workers Rights (P&O) on the back burner, just for now.
