In reading this I’d be questioning my marriage.

>>It feels selfish and trivial to say that amid my husband's plight. He is terrified that if he gets COVID again, it will be as harrowing as the first time. And it could trigger a flare up of his chronic illness.

When our daughter was born, it was over 24hr from when my wife’s water broke and contractions started to when she gave birth.

If I complained about my lack of sleep during that time she’d be justified in kicking my ass out the door.

The author’s husband is completely justified in his concerns and she is incredibly selfish.

Polio “only” disables a few percent of people infected, no one is running around saying polio avoidance anxiety. (https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/polio.html)
