I'm currently reading through the new report on Fediverse governance, and it's interesting for me to read about what the larger servers are doing.
I'm currently in the "General Observations" part: https://fediverse-governance.github.io/#section-one:-overall-observations
In there, the authors call what I've been calling "admin feuds" "diplomacy" instead, and I like that framing, because it fits surprisingly well - you don't have any instruments to directly influence other servers, but you have some indirect methods.
