I've seen this pattern a lot when it comes to men and sexism, and it goes something like this:
Man: Says something casually sexist
Woman: Corrects him, trying to teach him why it's sexist
Man: "Well, these *other* women said it's fine, and I'm a feminist, so screw you!"
