File management: Thunar is really good for handling files and folders with lots of images. Nemo tries to be helpful but struggles, I think because it tries to assemble data and statistics on file and folder contents on the fly, before you open them. It just gets bogged down.
So if you are finding simple file management of your photo archive on Linux to be a pain recommend giving Thunar a shot.
