Just realized something stupidly obvious about the software industry...
If someone builds you a house, an inspector comes from the city to make sure it's not cardboard.
If you visit a bank, an inspector has come to make sure the building is up to code before anyone can come in, and regulators make sure that the bank isn't *totally* just playing monopoly with your money.
