Poison ivy is a different beast. I've cleared lots of it myself (and some not small amount of kudzu).
Poison Ivy is much like the video says. The bit that people react to is incredibly stable though, and will last many months on utensils and the like. And don't burn it. Breathing the smoke from burning poison ivy could put you in the hospital. It did my mother in law.
