Communication shall be one of the most basic skills anyone has. It is a hard skill though.
You will need communication in your work, in your family, in your relationships, while you are shopping, while you want to solve a problem, etc.
While it could be tempting to accept how you communicate, as you might survived until now, and nothing bad happened. But this does not mean your current level of communication will be enough in the future. Or you might noticed, that some of your communications gone wrong, or you saw some people's communication gone wrong.
By improving your communication, you will be able to:
- reach conclusions easier
- understand other people better
- understand other people's intentions
- understand why some things trigger you, or trigger others
- understand the power games of communication
- use certain communication techniques for your advantage
etc
