“American patriots may have to resort to violence to save the country."

This is frightening but not at all surprising. And, though I do want to be careful with comparisons, I believe we can learn a lot from history, such as: If we want to understand Germany in the 1930s we need to understand Germany in the 1920s. The fault lines are deep and long and will not disappear even if some high-profile individuals go to prison. I fear it may get much worse.
