I'm defective in myriad ways. Not sure about the hives, I always just considered myself one of those kids with allergies and never questioned it too much. Bad luck I guess. It came on really suddenly one day too, like the first time I had them it was really bad.
My parents are convinced it's from growing up beside a refinery. Because my family members who live there have allergies and asthma, and for many of us, it cleared up when we moved to the coast (many diff family members have moved to the coast over the years). Doesn't seem to clear up for the ones who stay.
