Split screen/Side-By-Side gaming is also known as Couch-Coop. Sadly the industry has made it really difficult to split screen games online.. BUT!
If you play your games on PC, Steam has something called remote play which lets you invite people and play splitscreen/sbs games with you.
There's another app called Parsec ( https://parsec.app ) - This is for Windows from memory but allows you to get another player to remotely connect to your PC to play games with you.
The industry is hell-bent on everyone owning their own device, and their own copy of the game. They're trying to kill the glory days of couch-coop.
If you're feeling adventurous, it's great to try out https://www.fightcade.com - made for retro gaming and takes some fiddling (happy to help, just dm) - this thing is a retro couch coop beast.
RE: Question about streaming from Hivetalk to OBS to Zap - Hivetalk needs it's own ingest RTMP server I think and then OBS can be pointed to Zap or Cloudflare, then from there can be forwarded to other streaming services too.

Ok... Absolutely love the Netflix sitcom Disjointed.
It's so fucking corny and cheesy and well... kinda shit. But at the same time I can't think of a modern sitcom that actually addresses some of the topics in that show and also gets across messages of the futility of the war on drugs among many other things.
I think my favorite thing about it however is though when one episode a lady comes in to shill her "PotCoin" - but her logic is sound. She wants to overthrow the fed. Episodes later in S1E18 this cropped up and I HAD to share it.

Hard to say depending on what you want from your experience I think!
There's Breath of the Wild which is the switch game which made people actually buy the switch. Game is open world and incredible with it's exploratory and non hand-holding experience.
There's Tears of the Kingdom which is the sequel to Breath of the Wild essentially... do don't bother until BoTW is completed 😉
There is also Link's Awakening and another Zelda game which just released recently however they're top down Zelda games which makes them a VERY different but OG experience.
If you have Nintendo Online you get access to NES, SNES, 64 and Genesis games, the most well known ones anyways. There are a few games in each system usually related to Zelda in some capacity. For me Link's Awakening on the SNES was what I first experienced over 32 years ago and really excited me.
I'm dead keen however on playing Majora's Mask and another N64 Zelda title. Ocarina of Time I think...
Honestly never been into the franchise that much but Breath of the Wild has transformed the Zelda experience big time for the better!

I remember flying back to my home country when I was 16-17 perhaps on the way back from Tokyo. The security are so fucking stupid that they presumed me to be some kind of hardcore drugs mule BECAUSE I had cannabis related goods in my bag.
P.S. Nothing that has touched actual cannabis, I'm talking about a magazine, a hemp blanket and other things that were simply... items, but were scrutinized because they had a cannabis leaf on it.
I eventually got told they would be doing chemical tests on the majority of all my luggage, and if I was found with 0.0001% of THC then I was 'Fucked' as the head of security so eloquently put it.
They found nothing.
Next they decided to bring in a 8ft fucking giant who they assigned the duty of 'body searching and frisking.' The asked if I had any questions before proceeding.
At 17 and ever the wise ass... "Yeah, just don't get turned on please."
They found nothing... I had nothing.. Never had nothing and have flown HUNDREDS of times prior to that experience from birth till then. Gotta say that experience has seriously soured my relationship with airports and how they treat people as cattle...

I had the same type of issue.. I had to persist for a few hours or I got really lucky. My albyhub basically wouldnt connect to my getalby account for some reason and the syncing between my extension and albyhub was kinda rough going. It was once I started using NWC I found myself able to zap others with ease... changed my getalby username at some point and now I can't get zaps at that address 😆😅

Thank you for your response and clarification, I really appreciate it. Please allow me to provide a quick overview of the advisory and the recommended steps you can take.
Advisory summary: A vulnerability was discovered in Infineon’s cryptographic library, which is utilized in all YubiKey Series and Security Key Series with firmware prior to 5.7.0 and YubiHSM 2 with firmware prior to 2.4.0. Yubico has defined this as a moderate severity vulnerability.
It's important to note that Yubico has been shipping keys with the newly released 5.7 firmware since May 2024, and YubiHSM 2.4 will be available later this month.
(For FIPS devices, we are targeting submission of YubiKey 5.7 and YubiHSM 2.4 for FIPS 140-3 validation in October of 2024.)
To further elaborate, a sophisticated attacker would require physical possession of the YubiKey, knowledge of the accounts they want to target, and specialized equipment and expertise to perform the necessary attack.
More detailed information regarding the vulnerability can be found in the official security advisory: Security Advisory YSA-2024-03
What we recommend: To mitigate any risks related to this vulnerability and as best practice in general, Yubico recommends that users always maintain physical control of their YubiKeys. If a YubiKey is ever lost or stolen users should immediately deregister it from all registered services or accounts and ensure they have backup authentication methods set up. Ideally, you should have 2 or more YubiKeys set up on each service for backup and recovery scenarios.
Replacement policy: Historically, Yubico has only offered replacements for High/Critical severity vulnerabilities. Since YSA-2024-03 is classified as a moderate severity vulnerability, there is no blanket replacement program in place, nor is this vulnerability covered under Yubico’s Warranty Policy.

Knowing what people are capable of for even $1000 ... what's the point of living if your family and friends are dead or under attack and terror every day? Remember too that these scammers and criminals aren't going to stop at first attempt either. If they have any brains they most likely would put a GPS tracker on your car and just figure out where your multisigs are hidden too. They would constantly be attempting phone scams, email scams, even to the point of kidnapping you and torturing you. (It happened in the state next to mine.)
It's a fantastic thing to self-custody, I endorse it 100%. I just feel that criminals ALSO think it's a great thing for us to self-custody.

Had to get it imported from the states and it was hell waiting every day... when it finally arrived though the experience was so good I invested in a Gibraltar drum stool and Vic Firth drumsticks like a mega try hard 😂

How I Feel when I engage with Nostr compared to Twitter is palpable
Three days ago I decided to go on a dopamine detox. No X, YouTube (unless it's used for learning). It is to be replaced with reading, writing, creating for Nostr or spend time with loved ones.
Yesterday I spent 6 hours reading. I felt so clear headed and calm. Free of anxiety and stress.

This is where good opsec comes into play basically. Scrutinize everything when it comes to sending.
It's only going to be legit if YOU asked for the invoice. If it comes from some random it's never going to be a legit ask. If they're asking for sats then zap their note or have DM's going with them. The invoice will resolve itself as a button in DM's making it much easier to verify who you're zapping.
The day I was shadow-banned from Twatter was when I discovered Nostr I think. Been a while, haven't looked back.

I used restream too for one month but found it too costly. In the end I settled with cloudflare as I could point that to every RTMP server without worry and the quality and bandwidth speeds were top notch. Really cheap too at like $5 a month instead of Restream being $15-30!
My want to go solution is to find a github repo with it's own RTMP hosting solution that might work on an old PC or a Raspi4!

A streaming sats per minute or hour type thing could be really cool. The major perk of subscribing to networks like Twitch or Patreon is you get 'insider' access to their Discord, Movie Nights, Game Nights, Coop Nights, etc etc. The concept of community with twitch streamers is fucking gigantic to be brunt. Every streamer has their own Discord to announce when Live, schedule, alot of stuff like that. Obviously the nostr-discord beater would be key here. 👀 on keychat and the stuff JeffG is working on! @npub1z0l…8ldk could be a great way to create a nostr based voice+video chat community on Nostr but screensharing games is a bit of a nuisance currently sadly. (Virtual audio drivers and alot of configuration is required to get it to somewhat work) - The screensharing aspect though for browsers n such works perfectly as does voice! I have the utmost faith that @npub18pu…a699 will get these issues sorted.
Kinda brainstorming / freethinking of nostr-centric sites which could accommodate extra features for those who pay the toll I guess. Perhaps if streaming sats/min or /5mins etc then perhaps an hour or two of zapping or a minimum amount of sats can give you more 'privileged' access to areas? Personally I'm not a fan of the subscription model but I can 100% understand streamers from twitch needing that kind of model to feel like they can survive on ZS alone or any nostr V4V model.
The thing is they may stream to zap.stream, they may get their audience all here, BUT they have to onboard every single user to the concept of lightning, zaps, and V4V if they want to see sats flow their way. It's like the concept of Nostr MUST go hand in hand with lightning and zapping being the only way. I prefer it this way myself but I can imagine SO many streamers not understanding this concept and wanting fiat onramp/offramp rails tremendously.

Not sure how long I've been streaming to zap.stream for but it's been a fair while! Although I'm usually a once a week or once a fortnight type of streamer who doesn't doxx themselves on camera n such really yet. I'm not that shy of the camera, it's just that I'm usually smoking joints or something so it probably would look more professional if I didn't showcase that live 😂
Very cool site imo.. it could use alot of work still in some tiny regards but for live streaming games... works quite nice. I have a cloudflare account which I stream to through OBS, that then gives me a m3u/hls (? I forget which) stream link which I plug into zap.stream and presto... really. Cloudflare allows me to select multiple output RTMP servers too which makes streaming to Twitch and other platforms a sinch.
If I was a hardcore influencer I would probably still try to release all my content on as many platforms as possible... but I would aim to release everything on nostr first, then eventually, nostr only. Need to really aim to learn video editing I feel to really push my brand more although I never got into streaming to influence others or to become a partner with a big computer peripheral company or anything. Purely to stream the latest games in as highest fidelity as possible to an audience that can zap me 😃
A twitch donation is nice n all but I still value 21 sats over $5 in fiat that goes through the PayPal Mafia and other 3rd party methods.😂
Have been trying to get people over to Zap.Stream or even to introduce the idea and sadly too many just visit the site, see there's only a handful of streamers active then quit sadly. They don't see the long-term growth of their brand which could easily become the forefront of nostr live streaming.

I'll try to do the tldr; as I could probably rant for hours.
Got into multiplayer gaming over null modem cables and IPX networking with Coaxial and that. Sometime when Ultima Online (the first real mmo I guess) appeared, I had dial-up and that just transformed my entire vision of the internet and it's potential. Kinda like discovering Nostr isn't just one site, but potentially thousands if not millions.
I realized that gaming could enter his sphere too with ease with accessibility being open to everyone, this truly culminated in the year iD software released the shareware Quake demo. Even though I was hitting like 400-500ms (I consider anything above 30 to be noticeable and laggy!), it was so groundbreaking at the time to be loosely connected albeit virtually to people all around the globe.
Fast forward 10-15 years and I started getting my certifications in IT industries. ALL of them came with great ease to achieve and I was even approached to become a teacher even though I was in my junior year. All this from playing online games and also going to LAN parties a shit ton.
These days though there is no emphasis on users running their own servers on dedicated hardware or even their own. It's all centralized and sadly creates for a subpar gaming experience in my eyes when it comes to latency and network/latency stability.
Besides the learning experience on the IT side, I also did play for the best Team Fortress and also Quake clan in Australia and that was a fair achievement for me at the time and I still cling onto it deeply. Sad thing was I met and trusted a few clan members and they turned out to be total douches not to be trusted. However made countless other friends so they're merely dust in the wind in the big picture.
I guess multiplayer gaming grew my social circle, allowed me to speak my mind in a place where that was frowned upon in school or home, and really gave me a place to belong. It was also a source for me discovering music and other underground scenes which I am forever grateful for finding out about!

I personally feel that with nostr *not* being the center piece of the event, they're not realizing the importance of Nostr. These people need Nostr more than we need them. And I don't think Nostr really needs or even wants BTCOlympics but I'd honestly like to hear from everyone possible what they think. If awesome nostr devs got to share in a 50k prize pool... would that be a bad thing? 🤔

AFAIK, Hivetalk lets you share your screen or tab for video. So you could have one person basically login to netflix/yt/whatever in a tab, and then choose to stream whatever is in that tab w/ audio attached to everybody.

Hivetalk you could think of basically as the Zoom/Discord style video/screen sharing primarily, among a myriad of other features. @npub18pu…a699 the lead dev and inventor, is always around to help too which is great. There's heaps of new features which can also be added if you just throw them into the issues of the github 😄 If the feature is something you're going to use and is useful, the chances are that BITKARROT will implement it.

I agree with you.. that is my version of sexy and something to aspire for. I always want to surround myself with people better than me. It's the only way I seem to learn as I'm too much a product of my environment at times.
To me one of the most important things to me is building a kinship, a bond, a friendship and relationship that actually lasts stupid issues and long silences because the two people actually care about each other at the end of the day.
My emotional state changes all the time, but when I find myself in the company of someone for whom I truly care and feel proud of... it stays happy. Just 24/7 elated happy. Wish I could achieve this feeling more tbh.

My heart's usually a open door, I've only met a small handful of people I would actually move mountains for. Ahh... they've had at least one data leak/comprimise that I know of. So I get phone calls from spammers on behalf of Ledger claiming to need my seed etc.
They also moved away from a self custody option to have some kind of bizarro "we hold your keys".
They're not open source (?) and Ledger Live also has telemetry that reports home to them. They promote alot of trash and now dead coins, the list goes on honestly.
Don't get me wrong.. I've owned like 2 SE ledgers, the X, multiple Nano and the Nano S.
Oh yeah and when my nano x broke, they wanted me to mail the nano back to them! Even though they replaced/sent out a new one I was in NO WAY giving them my entire tx history etc...

All we did though was throw a NFC tag inside each of them and make them point to the nostr.world website. We made individual customized ones for every public speaker and they pointed to the user's npub.
Would love to see a NFC enabled way of signing events, @npub1c87…8avm brought it up and I think the potential for a NFC card that's a Boltcard, has your npub and lets you sign events would be really really cool. Probably too early for it's time though.
Does the card have NFC inbuilt? Just curious as we ( @npub1cyl…h53q ) and myself made something similar for Nostrasia! (Did not look badass like that card with the purple+orange in the corner and the nsec !)

I've been following closely
A little over a month ago I decided to quit porn because I struggled with heavy mood swings, difficulty focusing, concentration, and I was overall just feeling discontent with everything.
Since I quit, my ability to regulate mood has skyrocketed. I’m able to sit and write a blogpost and forget about time. My relationship is improving. I'm able to enjoy each day.
