Anhand der aktuellen Lage lässt sich ja relativ klar ablesen, dass die EU anstatt auf Verhandlung und Diplomatie zu setzen den Kurs auch ihrerseits verschärft und die Konfrontation sucht. Ich habe ja auch danach gefragt, was die Gründe sind, warum man sich nicht diplomatisch engagiert und auch darauf hingewiesen, dass die initialen Friedensverhandlungen in der Türkei seitens UK torpediert wurden. Ich sehe daher wenig, was seiner Ansicht in diesem Punkt widerspricht.

Ja, so muss man das sehen. Der Übergang ist hart, insbesondere wenn man anfangs niemanden hat, der gefühlt noch normal ist und der Rest permanent immer weiter auf diese zunehmende Politisierung aller Themen einzusteigen.
Man muss ja auch nicht alles mit jedem diskutieren und sofern das Gegenüber Freund- oder Bekanntschaft nicht davon abhängig macht, dass man bei diesen ganzen (meistens für den eigenen Alltag völlig unbedeutenden) Themen einer Meinung seien muss, ist ja auch alles gut. Für den Rest hab ich einfach keine Zeit und Energie mehr.
Mit etwas Abstand muss ich sagen, dass ich mittlerweile sehr froh darüber bin, solche Leute nicht mehr in meinem unmittelbaren Umfeld zu haben. Corona hat da tatsächlich stark aufgeräumt und ich hab einfach keine Lust mehr, mich an so etwas abzuarbeiten. Soll jeder wie er mag glücklich werden.

Man darf glaube ich keinen zu hohen Anspruch an so etwas haben, vor allem wenn es thematisch quasi bei Null ansetzt. Had a similar experience and ended up utterly disappointed with my most expensive MabBook Pro a few years ago when they introduced the touchbar and butterfly keyboard. It was my forth MacBook — I was happy with the first two models, but had to upgrade every three years to have decent performance. After almost 15 years of being an Apple customer, I got sick and tired of the hardware becoming more expensive and less robust with every generation.
Long story short: Switched to a decent Tuxedo computer running Pop!_OS and I never want to go back or somewhere else. This setup is working flawlessly for five years now and the hardware still performs like a charm. I got 40 gigs of RAM when I bought it, which wouldn't even have been an option if I had upgraded to another MacBook Pro back then — and I paid half of what I spent on my previous MBP.
Linux has come very far during the last years and though it took me a while getting accustomed with some of the software changes (your milage may very, depending on the field your working in and what kind of apps you use) I am more than happy with making the switch, especially since Pop! is a really user friendly OS — strong recommendation from my side.

Vielleicht können wir es für heute auch damit beschließen, dass es mir auch nicht darum ging, da eine Grundsatzdiskussion von zu machen. Mir war es primär ein Anliegen, auf den Widerspruch Selbstbestimmtheit durch Wahl ausdrücken zu wollen hinzuweisen. 😉
Das ist aber nicht das bestehende System, denn die Einstimmung zur Unmündigkeit ist durch die Abgabe der Stimme und damit die Anerkennung einer höheren Instanz zur Entscheidungsfindung ja schon eingebacken.
Das ist das Gegenteil von Selbstsouveränität (und meinetwegen auch der perfide Teil der Vortäuschung von Partizipationsmöglichkeit) – da fing unser Gespräch dazu ja an.
Da könnte man jetzt ketzerisch die Frage stellen, wie es zu der gegenwärtigen Form kommen konnte, die du ja auch nicht beführwortest.
Ich weiß nicht genau, was du mit "zwangsbewehrten bürgerlichen Staat" meinst, würde das aber wie gesagt immer wieder auf diese Grundsatzfrage zurückführen, bei der es darum geht, ob der Mensch für sich selbst steht (und eigenverantwortlich und gut im Sinne der Gesellschaft handeln kann) oder ob man meint, dass es dafür eine höher gestellte Instanz erfordert, die das definiert und im Zweifelsfall mit Zwang und Gewalt durchsetzt.
Indem Leute genau das Gegenteil tun: Selbst ehrlich Verantwort übernehmen, anstatt sie zu deligieren. Sich um die eigenen Probleme und das eigene Umfeld kümmern, anstatt implizit eine Autorität damit zu beauftragen.
Ja, das ist Arbeit und ein langer Weg bis dahin, im bestehenden System gibt es aber keine Lösung dafür, denn ultimativ lebt man selbst sein Leben oder muss sich dem Fakt stellen, dass man eine übergeordnete Instanz (meinetwegen auch unbewusst) damit beauftragt hat, Einfluß auf das eigene und gesellschaftliche Leben zu nehmen.
Ich verstehe den Punkt, dass man meint das System durch Äußerung der eigenen Präferenz beeinflußen zu wollen – dennoch ist das auch nur innerhalb eines Systems gedacht, welches man eigentlich ablehnt oder überwinden möchte.
Am Ende ist es die recht einfache Frage, ob es eine Gruppe von Menschen geben sollte, die mehr Rechte als andere haben und damit über den nicht dazugehörigen Teil bestimmen können darf – im Zweifelsfall auch mittels Einsatz von Zwang und Gewalt.
Wahlen sind die Zustimmung zu diesem System, sie legitimieren die Befugnisse dieser höher gestellten Gruppe und sind letztendlich auch die Zustimmung zur Entmündigung und Anerkennung dieses Verhältnisses.
Das möchte ich dir auch nicht streitig machen. Dennoch scheint mir der Hinweis darauf angebracht, dass insbesondere Wahlen das Instrument sind, mit denen sich auch solch ausufernde Systeme legitimieren und damit die Basis für das politische Handeln ziehen, welches zwangsläufig zu weniger Souveränität des Bürgers führt. Der ganze Prozess ist die einfachste Form von Verantwortungsabgabe und auch das Einwilligen zu solcher.

I once thought so too, but by now I see voting as implicit legitimization of the system and the odds of changing it from within are too low to even try. Das Problem scheint mir die Gleichsetzung von Kapitalismus und Korporatismus/Vetternwirtschaft zu sein und zu behaupten, dass Libertäre Anhänger dessen sind.
Ersteres ist das was man auch im gängigen Diskurs so wiederfindet und eigentlich schon eine irreführende Fehlinterpretation, da man anfängt über grundverschiedene Dinge zu sprechen...
Bspw. würde das Haftungsprinzip im Kapitalismus dafür sorgen, dass der Handlungsspielraum stärker eingeschränkt ist, da man für Fehler selbst die vollen Konsequenzen trägt und es keine Bailouts gibt – dafür darf man die Früchte ebenfalls selber ernten. Genau das Gegenteil ist im "Crony Capitalism" der Fall: man inzentiviert Übertretungen, da im Schadensfall die Haftung von der Gesellschaft getragen wird, weil diese Akteure "too big to fail" sind.
Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: Privatisieren von Gewinnen und Sozialisieren der Kosten ist ein Prinzip, das weder dem Kapitalismus entspricht, noch von Libertären unterstützt wird.
Es lohnt sich näher hinzusehen, als Startpunkt empfehle ich Thorsten Polleits "Der Antikapitalist", da es sich genau diesen Kritikpunkten widmet, die sich oftmals als Fehlinterpretationen und Begriffsumdeutungen entpuppen.
Wie Bitcoin das fixt und warum es genau das Werkzeug seien kann, wieder zu mehr Ausgewogenheit und Gerechtigkeit zu kommen, das wäre ein ganz eigenes Thema ;)

You don't have to convince or orangepill these people, but imho it's important and helpful to bring it up and offer the possibility of payment with bitcoin. They might not get it immediately, but there's a good chance that conversation and topic will linger in their mind. I see these as touching points people experience in real life and the more there are, the less likely they'll be to ignore them. Keep it up 👍

Agreed, yet I think we should highly appreciate the corps that give large donations and orgs that distribute funds. It might not be the desired fully decentralized solution, yet we wouldn't even be close to an established funding of wide parts of the Bitcoin and Nostr ecosystem. Without them, we'd lack long-term grants and compared to other OSS areas, we can be happy to have mostly idealistic well-aligned donors, which provide the money with no strings attached.
Having said that, individuals supporting their favorite projects and devs is a hopefully growing part towards even more decentralization of funding. Personally I feel these donations aren't as much about the money as a virtual pat on the back. They show that the work is appreciated and worth all the effort. Every open source dev I've met so far is doing this for idealistic reasons, let them know their work makes a dent!

Imho the issue with Payjoin is that the incentives aren't clearly aligned to onboard merchants to use/support it at scale. Tbh I totally get where this stems from and I've thought like that for the recent years too.
However, by now I don't think it'll work that way and this attitude won't lead to a happy life, unless one is aiming to live mostly isolated. It's a broader topic and goes beyond the properties of what sound money can provide, but both ends can profit off of each other – that's also why I formulated it in that circular way.

Konkret auf Liquid bezogen: Dort ist von Zensurresistenz ja nicht die Rede – alleine durch die Governance-Struktur, bei der ein Gremium/Föderationsmitglieder neue Blöcke erstellt ist ja klar, dass es sich eher um eine permissioned Umgebung handelt. Zwar versucht man das etwas abzuschwächen, indem mam sagt die Mitglieder sind geografisch verteilt und geopolitisch unterschiedlich aufgestellt – das ändert aber ja nichts daran, dass das alles dennoch regulierte Entitäten sind, die sich im Zweifelsfall auch Anordnungen beugen müssten.
Bevor das zu einseitig negativ klingt: der Punkt ist vor allem, dass man den genutzen Layer und seine Eigenschaften verstehen sollte – das alles hat Pros und Cons und es ist am Ende sogar gut, wenn es eine Vielzahl von verschiedenen Optionen gibt, aus denen man je nach Bedarf wählen kann.

Podcasts are an incredible way to inform yourself. There's a wide spectrum of very good material, readily available with just a few clicks and consumable on the go. I'm listening to podcasts for more than 15 years now and I don't think there's another medium that comes close in how much value you can get out of it, if used productively. Immensely thankful for this format, its development in the last twenty years and all the producers that keep on recording and pushing.
Growing up can also be seen as a process of transitioning from intuition to intellect, shifting thoughts and behaviour towards reasoning and detaching from gut feeling, because the world seems to show us that there are straight and proven answers. While this is true to some extend, we overshoot by seeking the optimum and leaving behind the intuitional part in us almost completely.
Psychedilics can act as a means to reconnect with that initial intuitional sphere, leading to a willingness to reflect and readjust thoughts and behaviour to grant more room for what has been neglected or disregarded. Yet, there are other means to that end as well, e.g. spiritual practice.
I think that's why topics like psychedelics, meditation, etc. are also often discussed in bitcoiner circles: Because people are seeking truth on a personal and societal level — and bitcoin seems to be a forcing function for many, either as a starting point of that search or a pillar of truth to be found.

I don't think it's just bitcoiners: This book is not just a well written novel, it teaches a lot about life and people. I recommend the audiobook on Audible (~64h), the narrator does a very good job.
All my love belongs to @npub1xnf…lpr5. It allows me to manage my own node, is compatible with custodial solutions (e.g. Alby) and with the Olympus update (v0.8) it also offers the ability to have a self-custiodial wallet with just the device. Great allrounder by now! ⚡

In letzter Zeit denke ich öfter über "Konformitätsdruck" nach, da es wahrscheinlich einer der größten Faktoren ist, der viele von konsequent eigenverantwortlichem Handeln abhält. Also das Abweichen von oftmals auch nur impliziten oder angenommenen gesellschaftlichen Normen, bei dem persönliche Konsequenzen von simpler Belächelung bis hin zu Ausgrenzung oder Ächtung gefürchtet werden.
Auf persönlicher Ebene ist dies sehr subjektiv und ganz sicher mit den Erfahrungen aus der eigenen Sozialisierung verbunden. Damit markiert das Gespür dafür die jeweils eigene Hemmschwelle, sich für konträre Ansichten und Handlungen offen zu zeigen und vom Herdenverhalten abzuweichen, weil man eher auf das eigene Wissen oder die eigene Intuition vertraut.
Auf gesellschaftlicher Ebene kann man den Komformitätsdruck im besten Fall als natürliches Regulativ betrachten, welches in weiten Teilen ggf. auch einen guten Umgang nach gesundem Menschenverstand ermöglichen sollte — so zumindest hätte ich es noch vor vier Jahren formuliert. Die letzten Jahre zeigen nun aber leider sehr deutlich, dass es auch eine stark manipulierbare Wirkung haben kann und Konformitätsdruck — eben weil er eher auf implizter als auf faktischer Ebene basiert — sich erzeugen und steuernd einsetzen lässt, wenn man medial die Möglichkeit hat, den öffentlich wahrgenommenen Rahmen zu setzen.

The @npub122p…vsgz is educating many people and @npub1qv0…ujnc managed to grow a meetup scene in over 150 german-speaking cities. Many hardcore plebs doing on-the-ground work, giving workshops and pushing the Bitcoin-only vibe.

Wir drehen uns im Kreis und wenn es für dich da weiterhin ein richtig/falsch und gut/schlecht gibt, dann geh meinetwegen weiter wählen.
Was daran ist Unsinn? Wenn man diesem System durch implizite Unterstützung, die sich nun mal im Wählen ausdrückt, seinen Zuspruch erteilt, dann landet man genau da wo wir nun sind und es zählen nur noch Korruption, Täuschung, etc. mit dem letztendlichen Ziel des Machterhalts.
Du sagst selbst, dass sie keinen Wert drauf legen, sich legitimiert zu fühlen und sich nur um ihr Auskommem scheren ... und solche Leute soll ich dann wählen und somit befürworten? Hmmm.
Du scheinst noch davon auszugehen, dass es dort ein gut und schlecht, bzw. Optionen gäbe, die besser als andere sind. Letztendlich sprichst du dich damit für das System als solches aus und akzeptierst, in immer plumperer Weise getäuscht und belogen zu werden – es gibt keine Politik, der unbedingt das Wohl des Volks am Herzen liegt, wenn es um Machterhalt geht, sind sich alle Parteien gleich.
Mich interessiert nicht, ob es jemanden von denen interessiert – wichtig ist, dass die Leute begreifen, dass auch nicht wählen eine valide Option ist. Wenn wir flächendeckend Wahlbeteiligungen unter 50% haben, wird es zunehmend schwerer für dieses System, sich legitimiert zu fühlen. Es ist naiv und illusorisch zu glauben, dass man mit politischer Wahl einer Partei noch etwas bezwecken kann, außer dem korrupten Sumpf generellen Zuspruch zu erteilen.

Es gibt kein geringstes Übel, gelogen wird in jeder Partei und Wahlprogramme, Willensbekundungen und politische Bekräftigungen sind oftmals recht schnell hinfällig. Als Nichtwähler bekundet man, das marode System in Gänze abzulehnen und es nicht weiter durch hingenommene Teilnahme weiterhin zu legitimieren.

There's also JoinMarket, which is the more established and also decentralized alternative. As a taker you get to decide which amount and how many people to coinjoin with. Right now this is the best flow to fund a Lightning node and its channels as privately as possible, but it still assumes you know what you are doing and know the tool and all the nuances involved. For @npub155m…dcvg there's the Coinjoin plugin, which is developed by @npub1y24…z2ad, not BTCPay Server itself. It is also an optional plugin, not shipped with the core app and users have to install it on purpose. Once they do, it offers the ability to use Wasabi coordinators other than the official one and it even allows to easily spin up your own coordinator, helping to bring more alternatives to the centralized instance that does what you say.

Was mir sehr geholfen hat: ich habe fast mein komplettes Warmup auf die Schultern fokussiert und mache da mit Theraband eine Mischung aus leichten Kraftübungen und Dehnung. Letzteres hilft sehr, da oftmals ansonsten mit der Zeit zunehmende Enge im Schulterbereich Probleme macht und man sowohl von der Rücken- als auch Brustseite zuarbeiten kann.

In dem Mann steckt literarisches Talent, der Text ist wirklich gut geschrieben – da kann mam definitiv ansetzen, um vielleicht etwas zu finden, was einem persönlich Sinn gibt und erfüllt. Im Idealfall fügt sich der Rest dann.
"Die Unternehmen, für die ich arbeitete, waren alle auf die eine oder andere Weise im totalen Chaos gefangen; Restrukturierungen jede zweite Woche, Prozessoptimierung, Effizienzsteigerung, Umgliederungen – so mit sich selbst beschäftigt, das eigentlich Geschäft längst aus den Augen verloren; in dieser Umgebung fiel es in großen Konzernen nicht auf, wenn selbst dutzende Menschen in Abteilungen den ganzen Tag nichts taten."
Den Absatz kann ich aus eigenen Beobachtungen unterschreiben und solch einem Umfeld ausgesetzt zu sein, war für mich Motivation aus solchen Jobs auszusteigen und das zu machen, worin man selbst glaubt. Wenn man den Absprung nicht bekommt, dann tragen einen zunehmende Verpflichtungen und Zwänge in die beschriebene Situation. Das kann man daher auch als Appell verstehen, sich den eigenen Anliegen und Zielen bewusst zu werden und es nicht soweit kommem zu lassen.
