Is anyone using #haven having issues with CORS origin and headers?
#asknostr #cashu #nip60
Is there a cashu wallet out there that have all these features?
- nip46 nostr connect login
- nip60 cashu on the relays (possibility to set your own relays) AND also tokens saved locally on the app
- android and/or web app
- backup all wallet/tokens with a single seed (I mean by saving the generated seed only once initially after wallet setup) so that the restore is just a matter of importing the seed and resetting the relays and mints
- ability to swap between mints

What is the best implementation/way to selfhost an LN Address server on a VPS?

Asking for a friend: is there a client similar to spotify to go full nostr for music, as a music creator?
How are fees with this approach? I feel like this kind of methods are easily more expensinve than visa/mastercard (just a comparison, I am not criticizing here)
Inset meme here: "You guys buy at specific prices!?"
Oohhh ok, it did seems strange to be honest. False alarm then.
I was using noStrudel to see the notes from the relay page, tomorrow I will try again with nak, I will let you know.
Yep, it's the only onion one on my relay list: ws://wn62n6365e6ac6aguo5wooth7pi5fcmiodr3jr7qzxfrjzq7ujqggiqd.onion

Shouldn't there be only notes I publish? Same for the inbox relay. (It could be something wrong I did while updating to the 0.4.1 version, but it would be strange as I see new posts, from after the upgrade)
Oh sorry, I saw now the last part of the article, silly me.
Yeah you can make it work with any reverse proxy tool if you also have a remote VPS, but my idea was to find something like cloudflare tunnel where you don't need anything else other than your local machine where you are running the service. The problem with cloudflare is that it acts as a middle man able to see the actual payload, as it will expose your service with their certificates.
@npub12rv…85vg Is it technically possible to have a cashu mint that only whitelisted user can access? Maybe based on nostr keys?
What would happen when a whitelisted user creates a token that needs to be redeemed by an external user that doesn't have access to that mint?
Wait, is this just a "talking to yourself" kind of thing, or is it more subtle, meaning hearing words and dialogues that happens somehow "spontaneously" in our mind?
But you stiil need to use some sort of app on the client to connect to the tailscale network right?
I was searching for something that lets you expose a specific service with a clearnet public IP that is not your home one.

Ok, so if I post notes on those two relay A and B, there is no way for haven to also pull those notes and place them into its outbox relay right? I need to actually be using haven as a relay in my client.
Hi @npub1utx…50e8, regarding #haven, are the relays I set as "IMPORT_SEED_RELAYS" also the ones that are constantly checked to pull my events into the outbox relay of haven? Or are they only used for the initial import?
I am asking this as I wanted to understand wether this relay could be used as a backup "private" relay. Fox example, let's say I have relay A and B that I use for inbox/outbox/dm/chats/etc in my nostr clients, if I then setup a haven relay (even on LAN and not publicly accessible) with the import and blastr relay pool set to those A and B relays, will haven act as a relay that is "automatically backing up" all my related notes? Basically I am only leveraging the "also pull/blastr notes" feature of haven.
Mmmhh yeah you have a point there, then each user could have its own relay configuration. I don't like the idea of different ports though, but maybe with docker and a customized proxy in front one could have different subdomains/contexts to support multiple users 🤔 .
Would be nice if #haven had the possibility to whitelist npubs and not only "yourself". If I understand correctly, it is a personal relay yes, but not in the sense that it will only work when used by one person, it should also work in the "uncle jim" scenario (at least from a logical perspective), am I right? @npub1utx…50e8
Oh, last question: let's say I change inbox/outbox relays, but I don't want to "lose" events, would you say rebroadcasting everything I have written to the new ones is the correct thing to do? How would you manage this situation?
I feel like (from a user perspective) there is not a proper relays "standard", making them not really portable between clients (a part from inbox/outbox ones), am I too harsh on this? Maybe it need to be like this because it depends on the client use case, I don't know.
Ok, so if I understand correctly, the general idea is to setup your inbox/outbox relays plus some other relays based on the client and on what you want to do with it (social, chat, etc...). So in my example above I should only set inbox/outbox relays plus some other "read" relays for everything else (whether they are called app relays, search relays or something else doesn't matter).
@npub180c…h6w6 @npub1acg…p35c @npub1ye5…knpr @npub1gcx…nj5z Talking about nostr user relays management: is there a best practice in choosing/using inbox/outbox relays and app relays (the ones only used on the specific client)? Are there some articles or documentation about it?
I get one should use few inbox/outbox relays (normal and/or WoT ones), but what about all the other relay types? Search, app specific ones, etc...?
I see most of the clients have this "app relays" that are used "for everything in the app", but why would I use them if we have decided the outbox model is pretty much the one to follow? Aren't they "useless"? I mean I get the need for general search/read relays to search for content (for example global feed and to bootstrap the client after a fresh login), but why the write ones?
Please help a fellow nostrich.
Mmh ok, but there are still lots of notifications that are not loading even thought they should.
This one for example #nevent1q…rgt4 the app loads related replies and reactions in the notification tab only after I visit that user profile.
@nprofile…pyug Hi, is it normal that Amethyst reload your followers and notifications almost everytime I open the app (or at least frequently), plus I have a lot of missing notifications that I am instead able to see on other clients (example nostrudel), even though the relays (outbox/inbox, search and app relays) are the same.
Am I missing something?
@nprofile…pyug is it possible to make Amethyst load video previews without actually starting the video? I mean let the app load the video "frames" in the feed, but then you need to press the play button on the video to start it.
How many secure element chip manufacturers are there actually? Aren't they like 2 o 3? Genuinely asking.
What is the best platform or tool to properly search and setup all your relays (inbox, outbox, dm, search, etc...)? Is there a standard or best principles to follow?
Ehi @npub180c…h6w6 curious on what distro/DE/VM you are using, is that i3, sway or something else?
Ok this: https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/v/alby-account-and-browser-extension/alby-hub/faq-alby-hub/why-do-i-need-to-link-my-alby-account should clear pretty much all doubts, the Alby Account is the middle man to make everything which is public work, so they basically see all that is related to the getalby LN address if you link the node with the Alby account. I mean, it makes sense.
How does the thing work? What about VPNs, Tor and LN addresses when I am self-hosting it inside a private network without opening anything to the public?
Solved it, obviously it was something strange between an async/await function and a framework component.
