I don’t know what the future holds for federated protocols, maybe some merger in the future. Both AT Protocol and ActivituPub are very promising and better than centralized commercial networks.

I dont agree. I often use hashtags to find content in BlueSky and even created custom feeds using hashtags to sort posts there too. And I see many others doing the same.
