Regarding hollywood and "freedom fighter" movies:
I've often wondered why the powers that be are creating these hero movies where a lone hero is able to fight the all powerful villain. Do these movies teach us as well to fight the villains around us and fight for freedom? Surely they want a complacent population that doesn't have the urge to fight the powers that suppress them, right? So how do you explain all these movies where a single lone individual goes on and fights for freedom and liberty?
Then I considered pornography, if you have an urge for something, a desire for something, you'll watch this type of visual stimulus which essentially allows you to express your urge and release steam. all of that has an effect of making you feel better, like that urge is gone and you're at peace.
All of these hero worship movies aren't training manuals that will teach you how to live a life with more freedom and liberty. They are pornography for your sense of what should be, which ultimately keep you imprisoned and under the yoke of the powerful.
When you have a deep yearning for freedom and liberty, don't go and watch one of those Marvel superhero movies. Instead, do something concrete to increase freedom and liberty in your own life and become your own goddamn superhero.

How is everyone's sky today? I'm asking because ever since an odd tweet by President Trump's son mentioning how his sky was clear of airplane trails. I've noticed that my sky is also clear and I haven't seen any in a while.
Used to be our sky was full of airplane trails on a quasi daily basis. This has puzzled me for some time. Of course, I've heard of chem trails with heavy metals, aerial saws being dumped in the atmosphere to reflect sunlight and other bogus reasons.
I've sent an FOI to my government when I noticed it happening in my jurisdiction, asking for any emails containing the words, geoengineering, chemtrails or aerosols, and I was shut down.
Seems to me operating thousands of airplanes and dumping tons of heavy metals in the atmosphere must have cost quite a bit of money. So who was bankrolling this? What were they doing?

Why are people not more concerned about the UK's recent action towards Apple? The UK asked Apple to grant it access to all data of every global iPhone user around the world. That's huge.
Yes, that means you if you use an Apple phone and you use the iCloud. No matter where you are, The UK wants access to everything about your personal life.
And it gets worse. This isn't just for the UK. The UK has a treaty with other countries like Australia and Canada and the US and are able to instantaneously exchange information amongst themselves.
What the hell is wrong with us that a simple bitcoin price dip suddenly takes all of our attention while these kinds of despicable, disgusting, and insane things are happening around us???
This is like granting a government full access to your house without a warrant or even the courtesy of knocking or even the courtesy of letting you know they're coming in. They can instantaneously access all of your life without you even knowing it. What the hell???

I was invited to a course in ostia, Italy called "Anti Money laundering,: Current trends, Prosecutions, and the challenges presented by Crypto Assets", hosted by the OECD.
This isn't isolated, there are a number of these courses on digital identity, misinformation, taxation, etc throughout the year and civil servants from governments around the world are invited to attend.
Now, what civil servant, on an average salary, would say no to an all expenses paid trip to Italy, in a nice hotel, with a healthy per diem allowance?
Well, me of course.
But I'm the exception.
That's how global policy organizations educate the people who actually decide policy around the world. When a civil servant goes to one of these things, they come back and are expected to deliver new policy ideas and suggestions in their departments.

This is coming worldwide, and it's called the travel rule, originally created by the financial action task force in 2018 when they revised Recommendation 15.
Legislation has passed IN ALL COUNTRIES with various degrees of implementation. Search for "Travel rule [enter country name here]" to see how it's implemented there.
Make no mistake, us, Canada, el Salvador, etc etc will ultimately be compliant with this.
I am a civil servant and have actually drafted the law to impose this requirement in my country, and I'm now trying to speak up about it to warn everyone. If you know a podcast who may want to discuss just tell them to reach out.

Fair. My concern is when entities have sufficient information on us to build a comprehensive psychological profile on us, and then use ai to manipulate our sentiments in ways we can't even comprehend.
One mundane example: my friend uses chatgpt to build a job description. It would have otherwise taken him hours to research qualifications, etc.
I asked him why chatgpt suggested one qualification over another. He had no idea why.
Relying on AI means ai controls subtle elents of our daily lives. Perhaps one certification has more ESG elements in it, and so openAI pushes it over others.
Just saying we have to keep our guards up and prevent ourselves from being lead by the nose for the sake of convenience.

Whatever questions your app needs to allow the users to start making transactions. If it's custodial, there should be very few questions, only notices. If self-custodial wallet, then node info, etc

Backup can come later, if there's a notice to the user that it should be done, that's all that's needed in my mind.

As a government functionary, this is how little coincidences just happen to cross my path;
We all know the UK is registering chickens now. Well, my country, which has very little agriculture is now contemplating creating a farmers registry - where farmers will be asked to register what activities they engage in and crops they are growing.
The reason given is to be able to compensate them in the event of a natural disaster, so no doubt most will go ahead and register.
Where did this come from? Likely a global standard setting body of some kind feeding policy, research, money or all the above to my governments ministry.
I saw the same thing happen with digital ID. Suddenly all governments were passing laws, including my country. Came out of nowhere.

We should derive some type of master identity system which could be used to generate new identities from a central key, like how bitcoin uses one key to generate many public addresses.
Only difference is it would have to use words and numbers, e.g. a key could be used to generate the moniker "gardenelectorate2501" and "jasmineponder7866". This way usernames could be generated with one key, and the owner of the key could prove his various entities are his (but only when/if he wants to do so).

I chose to go nym instead of using my real name for a few reasons. One of which is that governments are increasingly focused on "spreading disinformation" and other "harmful content". They are trying to criminalize something that is entirely subjective and that needs to be interpreted by someone.
Incredibly dangerous that.
There's a principle in lawmaking that terms and concepts should be as clear as possible.
Another reason is because people tend to attack and judge the person instead of what the person is saying. Ad hominem attacks are a cheap tactic and I'd rather not have to deal with them .
If this number eventually gets to a point where it will be open to ad hominems, I'll just create another .

In a way we are arguing to the same end. I suggested in the podcast that those who vote provide legitimacy to the government, and thus bear some responsibility for the governments actions.
Its just a thought I often ponder and knew it would be contravertial.
I also ask what would happen if no one voted in an election? What signal would that send? Would a government (elected by , say, 5% of the population) be legitimate?

Are you completely comfortable brushing aside the concept that a government rules by the consent of the governed, because the voting process is rigged to achieve a certain end result?
Where does the government get its power from? Itself? Would that make any sense?
