Savings and spending
Savings are the store of excess you create against future uncertainty
Bitcoin is the ultimate savings tool
As Bitcoin goes through this crazy monetisation process, those savings get turbo-charged
Many will find themselves with new and previously unimaginable choices open to them, and to their families and their communities
This is where spending comes in
Should you have excess savings - beyond your definition of “enough” - then you can now make meaningful change to those lives you care most about
Fundamentally you need to search and find what matters to you, and what change you can make in the world, once you’re making decisions without regard to financial impact
This is a significant mindset shift
The mantra of “never sell your bitcoin” has a useful meme half-life of two cycles: the first where you are still learning what Bitcoin is, and the second where you’re stacking like a crazy person
After that, be extremely cautious of those screaching “never sell your bitcoin” at you - they most likely have a product for you
There is NO borrowing without risking your collateral
In the end .. exactly what part of “permissionless money” are some of these folks not getting?

Never were truer words spoken
Resonated then, and as a Bitcoiner even more so. Figure out what your mission is. Focus on *it*. Think hard about your ego and don’t let it run the show

One of the core features is that there are no "operators" .. that is the very purpose of decentralised open protocol designs.
Filtering to ignore the posts and people and organisations that provide you no information or value is a simple method. Cultivating those that you follow or interact with carefully is a very close second.
No level of censorship - which is ultimately what you're talking about - is possible without centralised control. One of your countrymen wrote a novel about that dystopian future scenario which is probably a good primer read.
So a question for you:

Storing your #bitcoin keys on electronic media necessitates that you periodically test/validate that it is still usable. Collaborative security platforms make this part of their operational protocol; if you're holding your own keys, so should you.
Think more about which parts of your stack you are expecting to keep, and for how long.
The longer the time horizon is, the less complexity you want in that storage setup. Or alternatively, if you are using electronic mechanisms (hardware devices, usb keys etc), then you want to test those periodically (quarterly-annually), and move to new mechanisms as old ones become dubious.

This little nugget is the more relevant and dangerous action to come out of the Brazil-v-Twitter spat going on right now - the Brazilian judge has ordered the major appstores to remove VPN products
This is a direct attack on digital privacy & security for all Brazilians
VPNs are one of those basic tools that everyone should be using to assist their privacy; removing access to these tools is a clear and repressive action from the Brazilian regime
Do not make the mistake of thinking that other nation states are not watching this action closely to determine how easy it will be to add that particular action to their arsenal for <reason> in the future

Ignorance of the history leads also to the fallacy of “version 2 will be better” which the altcoin promoters feed on
