My #superpower is that I really enjoy being the Radar O'Reilly of an office. Sure, I learned to code because I love cajoling a computer into doing what I ask it to. It's empowering. I think it also helped me learn to communicate better.

Really, though, my favorite part of learning to code was helping my classmates learn to code. It never gets old.

This aligns with the #DEI discussion. If you live long enough, you will become disabled.
Most #disabled people can work. As a #country, the #US (being a hotbed of #capitalism), believes that it's better for disabled folks to be #taxpayers than #tax burdens. This goes along with the idea that you "earn" a living by being employed. There are many programs available to upskill disabled folks, and not all are #government-funded.
That said, many employers are under the misguided impression that disabled people want jobs they are not qualified for. And that hiring a disabled person is an act of charity.
I'm a #blind man. I graduated with honors from a community college. My degree is in #computer #programming. I am also a licensed #insurance agent in my state. And, I spent over six years working as an administrative professional. In previous live, I was a #tax professional, working at a kiosk in a Walmart. I've also done web development, and supervised a technical support team for a dial-up ISP.
I'm currently unemployed. I ran out my state's benefits a few months ago. I've been applying for jobs, and going to job fairs. I've even had a few interviews.

I can't figure out how to get reader mode in iOS, or to get it read aloud.
iOS does have the Spoken Content, but it's awkward af to get it at a good speech rate.
When I want to have a page read to me, I open it in Safari. Vivaldi is the second alternative browser I've tried. The first time, I reset my default back to Safari, and I may do that again.

I live in #Texas. No effing way am I helping fund #Democrats in other states unless and until the #DemocraticParty starts acting like a legitimate #opposition party.
Especially any #Democrat who publicly distances themself from #transgenderRights. Because, either you believe it is perfectly reasonable for the #government to tell people what they can or cannot do with their own bodies, or you don't. The logic that denies gender-affirming #healthcare is the exact logic used to deny #ReproductiveJustice. Either people have a right to #BodilyAutonomy or they don't. There is no #centrist position here.
