I'm stuck with my #FreeBSD server. I can't make network working both for bhyve vm and bastille jails. Separately everything works fine. My network configuration looks like this: two interfaces bond to one lagg0 and created vlan998 interface. There is valn998bridge used by jails (bastille). When I create vm switch public I can't add port so the network doesn't work. Any hints?

Finally I’ve managed to setup and run my #freebsd server. It was not without surprises mainly because of network configuration, lagg (interface bonding) and vlan. As @nprofile…7sks suggests I installed OS on mirrored zpool (2x250 GB SAS HDD). Now I’m wondering how to use other 6x1TB disks. Whether creating ZRAID is good option?

@nprofile…7sks @nprofile…dmhq Do you guys have some guide/howto setup first #FreeBSD server. Some best practices to follow. Sometime ago I have installed mailserver based on #FreeBSD, it wasn’t good setup. Basically I’m #Linux user but want to give BSD another try.

@npub14ca…0nj8 Quite interesting. I’ve reinstalled one server from VMware to Proxmox today. I never considered #FreeBSD as host OS. @npub14ca…0nj8 do you have any guide/howto or suggestions for deploy #freebsd for virtualization? Is it suitable for regular Linux VMs?
