Hard Times Creat Strong Men by Stefan Aarnio
If you’ve read Jack Donovan’s The Way of Men series, like I’ve been telling you to for a year now, then you’ll love this book!
It is based on a lot of the same themes, because when you break it down, masculinity comes back to the same general concepts. Life isn’t fair, suck it up and figure out how to be extraordinary.
Most of us know the cycles of society; Strong Men created good times, etcetera. Well, we’re in Hard Times and most people are going to figure it one it the hard way. But if you’ve been following me for long enough you should realize we’re in the Hard Times, you should have embraced it long ago and you should look these times in the face and smile, knowing you’re going to kick it’s ass!!
Read this book and use it as another tool in your arsenal to prepare yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually

How Civil Wars Start by Barbara F Walter
This is a good book of you want to learn how civil wars have started in many nations
But once Walter starts overlaying her theories on the United States, her Trump Derangement Syndrome exposes the complete fraud of this work
She repeatedly talks about how authoritarian rulers us race and ethnicity to divide a nation and use that division to take control. Only sobering who believes every lie of the corporate press could think that statement describes Trump and not the Democratic Party.
With the hindsight of two assassination attempts, it’s even more obvious to anyone interested in the truth which sides rhetoric is fueling hate and political violence
I would recommend reading this book beside it will teach you how civil wars are started. But if you’re actually interested in preventing one in America, you’ll have to do your own critical analysis because this book is woefully lacking in that department.

The Dragons and the Snakes by David Killcullen
Really great look at the adaptive environments created by Western military powers and rising or small forces trying to compete.
Adaptations to threats are necessary and natural for survival. Something is either killed by a threat or finds a way to survive in the threat environment. The West’s primary problem is that governments expenditures on defense are captured by the MIC. Profits are trumping success and the perverse incentives mean higher profits for more failures, rather than smaller profits for swift victories.
The major topic that a lot of military and geopolitical theorists miss is the money aspect; specifically the USGs use of the dollar. It’s mentioned how a Chinese PLA Officer identified the US’s use of the dollar as a weapon and Killcullen quickly classifies
it as “completely loopy”.
This is the West’s problem; a lack of understanding our enemies and ourselves. I would recommend Killcullen read Lords of Poverty by Graham Hancock and Hidden Repression by @gladdstein for a better understanding of the West’s use of monetary policy as economic warfare.

40th book of 2024 complete:
The Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe
It’s about more than the meme “Hard times make strong men”. The cycles of history are as consistent as the changing of the seasons and are necessary to balance out the extremes of humanity.
This book was published in 1997 towards the end of the Third Turning. The authors predicted the Fourth Turning would start around 2005 with a crisis catalyst (the 2008 GFC was likely that moment), reach its apex in 2020 (spot on with that one!) and reach resolution around 2026.
That doesn’t mean the hard times are over and it’s all uphill from here. What it means is that over the past decade, people have been figuring out what is corrupt in our system, building alternatives, and creating resilient organizations.
I believe that is what we have seen happening as local, decentralized groups have become stronger and more resilient

I’m no electrician or mechanic, but I’m fairly certain the power generated from the alternator is due to the spinning of the motor. The pulleys/belts spin and create the energy. So the energy is coming from the potential energy of the motor that is already spinning.
In other words, the alternator isn’t tapping into the fuel source, it’s using the energy created from something that is already spinning.
Your analogy would be like saying that the power created from a water mill needs to use extra water to create the power. Thats not the case. The water is already flowing. The mill is just capturing the potential energy.

Audiobooks. I love having a physical book but I don’t have time to sit and read. I can listen and still get stuff done.
Also, just like working out, increase your listening speed until you get use to it, then increase more. I’m at about 2.2-2.3x speed, depending on the density and the readers voice. But don’t go so fast that you’re not retaining the information. If you’re not digesting the info, back down the speed and get use to it before ramping up again.

Becoming A Barbarian by Jack Donovan
Second time reading this book as well. This 3-part series should be read every year and could really be made into one book. But Becoming A Barbarian really gets into how you tap into tribalism and head down the path of The Way of Men.
The most poignant take away is how “The Empire of Nothing” pushes universal moralism to the point of accepting anything and anyone, at the expense of everyone’s individuality and common sense. If you prioritize everything, you’ve prioritized nothing.

21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari
If you want a better understanding of how the WEF Globalists think, and the rationale they use to get others to follow them, you need to read this book.
This book is the epitome of Progressives thinking anything that supports their preferred policies is liberal democracy and anything that opposes them is illiberal nationalism.
I don’t mean to poison the well. I do recommend reading it, but draw your own conclusions and let me know what you think. I welcome open debate and having my ideas challenged.

32nd book of 2024 complete:
The Invention of Power by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita
A really interesting look at the game theory played out as a result of the Concordat of Worms in 1122, an agreement between the Pope and the Holy Roman Emperor.
TL;DR: the thesis argues that the agreement led to wealthier regions becoming more secular and leading to further increases in wealth, the Protestant Reformation, and scientific breakthroughs. The game theory is what, according to Mesquita, has led to the West having such a predominant role in the world.
The argument seems sound and is very well articulated. The only problem I really find is in the name of the book. Power was certainly “invented” long before this. The title seems more like an editors/publishers choice to sell books rather than sum up the thesis.
Overall, a really interesting book that covers a document that probably deserves as much attention as the Magna Carta and American Declaration of Independence, especially as it likely created the furtive ground for those later documents.

Civilian Warriors by Erik Prince
I finished this a couple weeks ago but I wanted to finish the Tucker Carlson interview of Prince first
While I can’t rule out that the book was written for damage control and to reshape the image and narrative around Backwater and Prince, the USG propaganda machine was certainly directed at conservative organizations at this time.
And while I use to think the contractors were exorbitantly paid, Prince does an excellent job of pointing out how US Service Members are paid through benefits that far exceed their salaries.
The fact is, for the Lizard class who wants the US continually engaged in conflicts around the world while the Federal deficit is spiraling out of control, this business model is the only way to make it happen.
Ironically, they should be praising Prince for showing them how it should be done. Luckily for the Freedom Fighters, he seems to be out of that game. Although the CIA connections are still something to remain vigilant about.
I’d recommend reading this book for a better understanding of PMCs, government propaganda and tactics against political opponents, and some insight in to ways future wars might be funded and conducted.

I came into this book cautiously, not sure if it was a hit piece being waged against America’s warriors or a well researched and thorough piece of actual journalism.
While I’m still waiting to hear back from a Navy Seal buddy to get his take, I believe this is an accurate and well researched book. HOWEVER, most of the acts described in the book, while awful, I don’t believe to be unique to Seal Team 6.
Over 20+ years of the Forever Wars similar and worst acts have been committed across units of all types. They are always the exception to the rule of the American Warrior’s ethos and unless you’ve experienced combat and understand the monster that lives in all of us, it is difficult to understand the fine line between lethally trained strategically employed violence and psychopathic murderers.
Certainly this book points out the failures of officers up and down the chain of command as well as civilian leaders who are suppose to provide oversight. Unless we, the American People, demand change and accountability while maintaining an understanding of what our nations Warriors are being asked to do, we won’t become a more moral society.

I’m glad I read The Most Dangerous Game prior to reading this. Savage Son was masterfully written to incorporate the theme of that book while maintaining the story line and characters of the James Reese series.
Jack has quickly become one of my favorite authors, sucking me back into the world of fiction!

As I started Jack Carr’s third novel, Savage Son, the preface describes how Jack was inspired by this book at an early age. I decided I had to read it before starting Savage Son
It’s a fast read and one of the best pieces of writing you’ll ever read, not just for the story but for the way it’s written

25th book of 2024 complete:
The Dictators Handbook by Bruce Bueno De Mesquita and Alastair Smith
The thesis is great: rulers hold on to power by following key rules, namely, benefiting their essential supports, those people in their society whose support is needed to gain and maintain power
The flaw to the book, however, is a general belief that democratic rulers are better than autocratic rulers because they must appeal to a larger essential supporter base.
While they point out how democratic governments can be corrupt and break rules, they try to make it seem like that’s atypical and those rulers are often thrown out easily by the electorate.
They also point out how autocratic rulers often have sham elections. As if to believe that democratic system’s elections aren’t rigged simply by providing false choices.
Without realizing where the true power lies in American society, they fail to properly identify the actual essential supporters.
Corporations like the MMIC (Medical and Military Industrial Complex) who control so much of the politics and the media, are no different than essential supporters in an autocracy who provide political support to rulers and propaganda.
Just because it’s a more advanced form of manipulation, they seem to be tricked into believing that it’s all about democracy and the people’s will.
I would only recommend this book for two reason:
1) I believe the thesis is accurate
2) I would like to see more people give their own analysis of this book

One Second After by William R Forstchen is about the aftermath of an EMP attack on the United States
An Electro Magnetic Pulse attack is the ultimate asymmetric attack. If successful, it would leave the entire country cut off from power, transportation, logistical resupply, and so much more.

Bitcoiners need to come to grips with the fact that not all “Bitcoiners” are the same. They’re not all going to be good people trying to do the right thing. It’s still about incentives and those with tremendous wealth in Bitcoin can and will likely do nefarious things to maintain control.
The beautiful thing about Bitcoin is that they can do fucked up nefarious things and it will only be their detriment in the long run because their con will be exposed.

Yes, absolutely agree. The closer he gets to the present, the more he seems to miss the point and his own prejudice comes through.

20th book of 2024 complete:
American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America by @WoodardColin
One of the best books on American history I’ve ever read. The descriptions of distinct nations and how they fought and shaped the continent was enlightening.
But Woodard, like most historians, goes off track the closer he gets to the present. His own “Yankeedom” ideals rear their head as he assumes that Progressive ideas, higher taxes, state run education, and climate change policies among others are the correct positions.
His description of cutting taxes, school vouchers, and pushing back against unions are described as backwards or supporting the elites, without any consideration of the reverse policies being used to support elitism.
I’d love to see more recent events described using this rival nations thesis by someone who is more well versed in the general corruption of centralized government and understands how the Federal Reserve has drastically affected American politics.
Regardless, I would absolutely recommend this book and still believe it to be one the best American history books you could read.

Brian covers every topic that a normie/precoiner would have. Most importantly, he doesn’t shy away from talking about altcoins and what they’re attempting to do, whether as a scam or provide some utility. This is an often overlooked aspect by Maxis, who although correct, come off as myopic and biased.

Although I never looked at it from this point of view, this is exactly the mentality they try to instill in you at Ranger School; arguable the US Military’s premier leadership school
