Well its supposed to be more better than Qubes as far as hardware compatability and UI goes.
But you can still get the same containerization and security guarantees fairly easy,
so I am told anyway.

and I've been screwing around with it for maybe 3 months
today I restored my wallet from seed after a few larger ecash transfers to LN were "reverted" but didnt come back to my balance.
like wtf right?
and I'm kinda anal about sats or monero hanging out there because I've never actually lost any (thanks to kayabanerve!!)
anyway, the point is that I restored and the wallet properly recovered the transfers that had disappeared.
PLUS another 3000 sats that had apparently been stuck in limbo and I had just lost track of.
so the wallet works...
but the accounting is not reliable since I'm unsure what these other sats were or why they were missing.
just zaps that didn't get delivered I guess??
obviously still beta software, which is fine.
and I still haven't lost a sat 😎

I haven't done a deep dive into most shitcoins.
But afaict there is only Bitcoin and Monero.
Maybe there will be a truly decentralized defi network at some point

Bitcoin is better than Monero because there is a HUGE amount of energy invested in protecting the network and ensuring that blocks are produced according to the consensus rules.
The amount of energy invested in Monero is a drop in the bucket in comparison. Not to mention the ready availability of mining hardware.

that is only used for storing private keys
ie, only trusted wallet software is installed ,

and there's virtually no way to get those keys off the device

with very little "learning to use" anything

UoA IS NOT the medium of exchange between two parties.
UoA IS the base currency prices are denominated in.
people are consistently confusing those two things
and the difference matters.
It's a step in the right direction for people to use a different Medium of Exchange,
