If the relay does it by itself the IP address crawling around can match the IP of the relay itself, but of course it can also outsource the job to another server, or even use a different IP for it.

Yeah managing it is a hell, it's even not possible to do YouTube family with Google Workspace. I canceled my subscription after years. More available to zap 😊. WTF. Youtube seems to remove my Nostr related comments now. I typed "Open Source is nice, but instead of being a platform, using an open protocol would be even better. By this multiple clients can have different interfaces, while the signed documents are still available from different interfaces. Have a look at SIGit Sigit client which is using the Nostr and blossom protocols to do this. IMO how Nostr works as protocol is the basic answer. Of course it needs more improvements such as MLS by @nprofile…r4lw , more clients such as zap.store and so.
With centralization of app stores such as Google Play, organizations even ones like simplex and @nprofile…nk6j in control by forced government laws, it won't work.

Great mind @nprofile…ljjn 🚀 and besides the MLS by @nprofile…r4lw, how about a proton blossom for their drive, and proton dvm as @nprofile…79p8 told about for AI processing on e.g. photo labeling/indexing.
On the other hand we can run into the problem of the too big central relays/blossom/DVM instances with too much power. Now I still trust Proton quite a bit, especially now that they are a foundation, but I don't trust governments. The Swiss Bitcoin exchange Relai.all was recently forced to stop their non KYC exchange. Interesting times and lets keep a good eye together on the basic thoughts in all this openness.
