For the first time in history, an ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) has been used in a war. At 5 a.m., Russia launched an ICBM from Astrakhan, whose six warheads struck the Dnipro region of Ukraine. Although ICBMs were originally designed to carry nuclear warheads, this one was armed with conventional warheads.
The attack, clearly a response to Ukrainian offensives with long-range Western missiles against Russian territory, is being interpreted as an operational test to assess Russia’s capability to conduct strikes with ICBMs armed with nuclear warheads.
In this video, it is possible to see the warheads hitting the Dnipro region. There is still no information about the specific target or the damages caused.
