Fell asleep early last night and got twice as much sleep as usual (12hrs vs. 6ish) yet feel way more sore than usual because I missed a meal and a shake by doing so and thus only got 2/3 as much protein as usual. This further convinces me that sleep past a bare minimum has very little added benefit for recovery and that protein amounts when it comes to recovery are way more consequential.
