"content": "I went to a bitcoin meetup about a week ago. It was my second time going, so I was familiar with a couple of people from last time. There were some new faces that I haven’t met this second round so it was nice to meet some new people. It’s a lot of fun and also great to be able to speak a similar language, as many I find have no idea what bitcoin even is, so these bitcoin meetups are a time and place to converse about nuanced things, and learn a lot along the way. \n\nOne of the plebs there noticed my Leica and was curious about it. They said that they have some Leica lenses and other camera stuff at home and would love to show me. Being a Leica lover, I was very curious to see what it was that they had. I found that going to this bitcoin meetup was almost a perfect time for this sort of thing to align. \n\nA day later or so, the same pleb reached out to me showing me a photo of the lens. An old Summeron LTM 35mm 2.8 from 1956. Very cool, I’ve never seen one before. They asked if I would be able to help them set up their sparrow wallet and their node, and in exchange they will give me the Leica lens. That sounded like a good deal to me. Plus, I’m always happy to help other plebs with their bitcoin setup, if I can of course so I felt it was my duty to take it on. I said of course.\n\nThey invited me to their home, which is a very trusting decision, which I was graciously taken in and shown around. They had a few bitcoin memorbelia like Fred Krugers “The Big Bitcoin Book” (even though he’s a complete shitcoiner now), and also these FTX Sunglasses from a Bitocin2022 conference which will surly be worth something one day. \n\nWe went upstairs to start working on the setting up of Sparrow Wallet on their Windows computer. I went and did verification first of the download first (which is highly recommend to do) and then also proceeded in setting up a fresh wallet on their Ledger Flex. They also had an older Ledger X in use. The setup was fairly straightforward for bringing in the Ledger Flex, but there were some issues with the Ledger X that I wasn’t aware of. I didn’t realize that in Ledger your able to have multiple wallets of the same asset, and of different crypto. Upon trying to import the information into sparrow from Ledger, it was only showing I believe one of the internal wallets but not some of the others. I’m not sure why. I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced this, and knows a solution to having all of the internal wallets to be read by Sparrow. \n\nIn all though, it was a great experience. I had a good time. I was probably there for a few hours as well just because some of the above issues regarding Ledger was a bit of a tricky problem. I will honestly say though from this first hand experience; Ledger is not a good wallet. I would stay away from it completely, and this pleb knew that as well from others that have told them. I recommend to use Blockstream Jade as it’s a trustworthy device, company and focuses on Bitcoin only which is what you want in a hardware device.\n\n#bitcoin #grownostr #asknostr \nhttps://i.nostr.build/IhyngUpUy1Oo1rlb.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/4f0YCwBoBuSos7EX.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/lobre1vR0DoDgYPN.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/GyCwlC4tDxAFL1js.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/rbXg8fVWk4cKlVBd.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/JPA3RVVzmfwWBhrO.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/5EoaLRvvlbanxGna.jpg\nhttps://i.nostr.build/s0eZoHfuQM7HyUkX.jpg",
