Working on the #[0] website has truly opened my eyes to the revolutionary nature of nostr and lightning.
When you visit the site, it looks like a 90's html page. That is intentional, but nostr has allowed us to introduce simple code that makes the whole process effortless and efficient.
We don’t need to write an article and have some bot share a url to an endless number of platforms.
The article is transmitted over relays to all nostr clients, and the note itself updates our website directly from nostr with nostr-tools by #[1].
We use nostr to update our archive, and each report is automatically updated with an embedded note of the Daily Report using nostr-embed by #[2].
When you sign up for Nostr Report Premium, a DM is automatically sent to your npub, and we don’t know anything else about you.
NostriChat by #[3] lets you have a presence on our site while simultaneously posting your comment to nostr.
We have instant lightning zaps with nostr-zap by #[4], and the implications of this are mind blowing. Non-KYC sats sent directly from our website to our wallet, and a notification waiting for us on nostr.

jb55 (npub1xts…kk5s) shares something new he's working on with #nostrscript which he says will be the engine of custom list views in #Damus, allowing for a "powerful system for pluggable algorithms" and an algorithm marketplace. The web has JavaScript; Damus has NostrScript.

The language im using here is actually AssemblyScript, which compiles to wasm. You can use any programming language in theory to code nostrscripts. Damus executes the wasm binary directly.
These scripts will be the engine of custom list views, allowing a very powerful system for pluggable algorithms. You will also be able to broadcasts these scripts to the network, and damus can automatically list and load them, enabling a marketplace of algorithms.
nostr.build (npub1nxy…avr7) creates a simple API allowing client/app devs to add a "Creators" page button as an option on a note. Says this is a first step toward full account integration. See linked note for screenshots and more info.
I put together a simple API that would make it easy for app developers to add a ‘Creators’ page button as an option on a note, for curated memes and content. It would be free and easy for anyone to quickly access this content and add it to a note.
It is not full account integration, but the first step, providing an interface that allows basic one way account integration, while allowing a repository of curated memes and content for the masses to use. #[0] , #[1] , #[2] , #[3] , if interested, I would be glad to help develop the button, we can always remove it if not working out, don’t like the esthetics, etc? Experimental feature?

Pretty basic construction of Nostr silent DM's that break the DM graph privacy nightmare.
Others probably have suggested the same thing because it's too damn simple and obvious of a solution. Still gonna put it up here, maybe someone has comments. Might become a NIP proposal if there is interest.

jack mallers (npub1cn4…3vle) shares that Strike now handles #Bitcoin custody themselves, no longer using Prime Trust. He also says there are several new features and updates coming to the Strike App once they get App Store approval.

1. we do bitcoin custody ourselves now. i’ll be blogging about this soon, but bitcoin on strike is not on prime trust
2. apple has been blocking our latest app update. fucking sucks. it has so much that everyone wants, including bitcoin payments and all the features in these threads. as soon as apple gives the thumbs up i have a blog with a bunch of stuff for US customers
