I don't think there is a way to know when it was struck out. By 1930 the empire had been broken up, so the answer should have been rejected as inaccurate. The instructions did cover the changes rather well and wanted the current country. I doubt that the daughter knew the current country. The census taker could write Un for unknown, but it is clearly not that. Today the place is in Slovakia, but would have been in Czechoslovakia in 1930.
