I've been interested in the OSS movement for decades, but my path has been a classical dev career + some small projects and bug reports / PRs as a hobby.
Seems like it's as difficult as it has ever been to find a business model / make a living with OSS. I remember how it was already a topic of intense discussion on Slashdot more than 25 years ago...
