#WordWeavers 4Oct- Character development, world-building, plot—how much attention do you give each?
As a [mostly] pantser, it's tough to pull these apart. I prefer spending time on world-building and char dev, but the story has to *go* somewhere. I plot in advance, world-build/char dev as I go, and adjust each as necessary.
Sanderson said something like, "readers can often forgive a so-so plot if the characters are well-developed and the world is interesting", and I truly believe that.
